2022 Art for Health Programme/Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre
Castletownbere Community Hospital
The project was an introduction to floral designs and patterns from around the world. The aim was for the participants to explore forms, colours and materials through a series of creative short projects while also looking at various cultures.
Dunmanway Community Hospital
The sessions were part of my training for the AFH programme. My mentor and I facilitated a drawing workshop based on cave painting from around the world and early Byzantine time including Cappadocian caves in Turkey. I selected and photocopied images of early botanical drawings made with natural inks and pigments. The images were going to be used towards the end of my training but due to COVID and the closure of the hospital that project didn’t go ahead.
2021 Arts for Health residency programme
Under the guidance of my mentor, I developed a package which included a series of creative activities based on the theme of human interaction and relationship with nature. The package comprised a blank colour chart, green colour chart, CD case with paint dabs, drawings to work from, selection of small images to use as a collage, an image of my artwork showing my creative process, an invitation indicating the nature of the project and comment forms for the participants.

The Plant Clinic is a workshop where participants can discuss their relationship with plants and society’s role in the current ecological crisis.

Around the Table was one of many projects aim to connect Dubliners to their city, tracing the passage of food from the docks to the markets and from our streets to our tables. The legacy of Around the Table has ranged from film screenings in the National Library of Ireland, an exhibition in the Central Library, Dublin City Public Libraries, to aprons, ferry trips with Dublin Dockers, publications, artworks and more.
I was commissioned to design three maps illustrating the various communities of Dublin historic central area. The maps are now part of the National Library of Ireland’s archives.

Out of the Box was a project linking Dubliners through The National Neighborhood from across the city with the national Archives of Ireland, who supported them on a personal research journey.
I was commissioned to work with one of the participants and design her family tree.
2003-2009 Education and Outreach Programme- Outreach Officer
In October 2003 I put together and led a programme facilitating awareness amongst schools in the greater Dublin area. The project aims were to introduce students from secondary schools and portfolio preparation classes to contemporary art and to the ongoing exhibitions taking place in the gallery.

‘Make Your Mark’ Graffiti project in collaboration with project East Wall Youth involving 2 artistes employed by Temple Bar Gallery & Studios.
Duration: 10 weeks
Age group: 7-12
Aim: Introduce the participants to the notion of contemporary art practice by using various techniques such as Graffiti, animation, sound and video.

2008 Spirasi (National Centre for Survivors of Torture)
This collaborative photographic project between TBG&S and Spirasi took place along with Zineb Sedira’s exhibition named “Saphir”. Coming all from different backgrounds, participants were encouraged to capture and document their daily experiences, feelings and reflections on their life in Dublin.
